ChessFrame Automation
Private local tool · Single operator
ChessFrame Automation is a private, local desktop application that runs on its owner's own computer. It is used only by its owner, to publish original chess videos to the ChessFrame YouTube channel, which that same person owns.
It is not a website, not a hosted service, and not a product. This page exists solely to document the application for the YouTube API Services compliance review.
What the application does
- Reads publicly available chess games through the public Chess.com Published-Data API.
- Analyses those games with a chess engine running locally on the owner's machine.
- Renders an original video: its own chess board, its own pieces, its own layout and its own evaluation graphics. No third-party footage, audio or branding is used.
- Generates the video title, description and thumbnail locally, from deterministic rules applied to the game data.
- Uploads the finished video and its custom thumbnail to the ChessFrame channel using the official YouTube Data API v3, as a private video.
Scope of use
- Used exclusively by its owner, on their own machine.
- Authorised against a single YouTube channel, which the application verifies by channel ID before every upload.
- Not offered as a SaaS, not distributed to third parties, and not usable by anyone other than its owner.
- It has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no multi-tenant capability.
Data handling
The application runs locally. OAuth credentials stay on the owner's own machine and are never transmitted to any server operated by this project, because no such server exists. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Not affiliated with YouTube or Google. ChessFrame Automation is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or certified by YouTube, Google LLC or Chess.com. It uses the official YouTube Data API v3 under the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
